The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is a globally recognized organization that provides accreditation for undergraduate and graduate accounting programs. Only 180 accounting programs are currently accredited and have been found to meet the rigorous standards established by the AACSB. The following accounting programs in Kentucky have been accredited by the AACSB:

Highest First-Time CPA Exam Pass Rate with a Bachelor’s Degree

The following schools had the highest first-time CPA exam pass rates in Kentucky in 2013 for candidates with a bachelor’s degree:

Northern Kentucky University

Northern Kentucky University’s Haile/US Bank College of Business grants a Master of Accountancy degree. This Master of Accountancy degree can be obtained through one of two tracks: The Professional Track for students with an undergraduate degree in accounting or the Accounting Practice and Reporting Track for students who have an undergraduate degree in a non-accounting field. Both tracks result in the same Master of Accountancy degree. Students in the Professional Track can take elective courses on taxation to receive an Area of Concentration in Taxation. Northern Kentucky University is situated in Highland Heights, Kentucky, convenient to metropolitan areas such as Cincinnati, Ohio and Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky.

University of Kentucky

University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics offers a Master of Science in Accounting degree that prepares students to work in accounting in all sectors of business and government. Graduates of this Master of Science in Accounting degree program are frequently lauded for their high pass rates on the Uniform CPA Exam.
