University of Nebraska – Lincoln
The University of Nebraska – Lincoln offers a comprehensive graduate program enabling students to obtain their Master of Professional Accountancy while preparing for the CPA examination. Accounting bachelor’s degree candidates can enter the master’s program while in the final year of their undergraduate studies as long as they have maintained good academic standing with the university. For students who already hold a BS in accounting, the MPA program will require an additional 36 hours of coursework.
University of Nebraska – Omaha
The University of Nebraska – Omaha also has a well-respected accounting program where students can earn their Master of Accounting and become fully eligible to sit for the state CPA exam. The program accepts qualified applicants who have graduated from accredited undergraduate programs. Students can complete their undergraduate degree in Business Administration with an Accounting specialization at the school. If they plan to complete their BS, qualifying students can apply to the master’s program before they have finished their undergraduate work.

There are a large number of state and local government agencies that keep many accounting specialists on their staff. CPA Requirements in Nebraska
In order to take the CPA in Nebraska, students must have at least a bachelor’s degree and have completed 150 applicable credits at a qualified institution.
